Fire Victims in Sta. Mesa City Served With Nourishing Meal in Their Moment of Obscurity
MAKATI, 4 JANUARY 2013 – Berjaya Makati Hotel recently attended to the unfortunate fire victims in Sta. Mesa City, 8 kilometers away from the hotel. A wholesome meal was prepared for these victims to relish during their difficult times.
The management team of Berjaya Makati Hotel headed by General Manager, Norazman Chung and Hotel Manager, Maria Aurora Rementilla was present to deliver food to the fire victims in Barangay Santolan, Sta. Mesa City. These victims were seen trooping to the St. Joseph Basketball Court in savouring the nutritious meal.
A number of staff of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) were at the scene to assist the hotel volunteers in facilitating the implementation of the project.
“We are happy to be able to help these victims in any way possible for them to feel more at ease during the event’s aftermath. It is an ordeal for them and we hope that they will remain strong to endure this misfortune”, said Chung, acknowledging the circumstance empathically.
Berjaya Makati Hotel has been an avid supporter of being actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and hopes to reach out to more communities in need, in the near future.
